The Story Behind Presence

Presence was born out of a real need that I personally experienced as a church musician. I remember the struggle of having to load MP3 drone pads into my DAW and scramble to change keys on the fly during a live worship set. It wasn’t smooth, and it definitely was annoying at times.

Back in 2023, I launched Ableton Worship Drones a collection of drone pads specifically made for Ableton users. I still remember the day I built the first version of drones while working my 9-to-5. That moment of inspiration quickly turned into a vision. When I released the pack, the response was crazy. Musicians loved it and that confirmed something for me: more people need to know about this and have access to it.

As time went on, it became clear that the next step was software. I spent months brainstorming with my team, and asking questions to musicians: What would the perfect drone pad tool look like for live musicians in church settings & in the studio?

We wanted something easy. Something beautiful. Something powerful.

That’s when Presence was born.

More than just another plugin, Presence is a tool designed with church keyboardists in mind. No more bouncing between apps or wrestling with audio files mid-service. With Presence, everything is right at your fingertips customizable drone pads in any key, ready when you are.
